CHAMPIONSHIP DESCRIPTIONThese championships include 2 events: * the individual event; * the team event. Important: When an individual or a team shoots more than one round, at one or several registered Host Sites, only the FIRST score shot is used for MICA (NOT the best one). This requirement applies for each category: One score (the first one) per archer and per category.
Date: In 2010, the Multi-sites Indoor Championship of the Americas will be held from: January 1 to April 30, 2010 INDIVIDUAL EVENT REQUIREMENTSEligibility. Distance. Categories. Cadet - Junior - Senior - Master. Therefore there are a total of sixteen (16) categories.
Equipment divisions * Recurve division, according to FITA Rules. * Compound division, according to FITA Rules. Age classes. An athlete may participate in the Cadet Class if he/she is younger than 17 or if his/her 17th birthday takes place during 2010. An athlete may participate in the Junior Class if he/she is younger than 20 or if his/her 20th birthday takes place during 2010. An athlete may participate in the Masters Class if he/she is older than 50 or if his/her 50th birthday takes place during 2010. All ages are eligible to compete in the Senior Class. Cadets, Juniors and Masters may choose to compete in the Seniors class at their discretion. Cadets also may choose to compete in the Junior class at his/her discretion. Target Face. The Recurve divisions shoot at a 40 cm diameter face, or a 40 cm triple face, whatever the age and gender and do not score with the inner ten ring. The Compound divisions shoot at a 40 cm triple face, and do score with the inner ten, whatever the age and gender. All faces must be produced by a manufacturer licensed by FITA. Warm-Up. A 45 minute warm-up or practice period, must be organized in each Host Site. The warm-up period should start one hour before the tournament, and end 15 minutes before the first scoring arrow. During the warm-up period, the archers may shoot as many arrows as they wish during the 2 min. periods. If possible, there should be only one line of archers. Format of the event. At each Host Site the format must be 3 arrow ends, shot in 2 minutes, and one line of archers (if possible). Registration. The Host Club is responsible for setting the date, registration, promotion and timetable of the events. The registration fee is determined by the Host Club. The National Archery Federation may ask some fee to cover some administrative expenses. COPARCO requires no registration fee. Judging. The Host Club is responsible for providing the appropriate number of judges, and the Director of Shooting. (At smaller Host Sites this may be the same person.)
TEAM EVENT REQUIREMENTSTeam composition. A team is made of three (3) archers from the same club who have the same gender, age class and equipment division. If an archer belongs to several clubs, he/she will be allowed to shoot for the club through which he/she became member of his/her National Archery Federation. Eligibility. The teams / clubs composed of archers in good standing with a National Archery Federation, which is a current member of COPARCO, are eligible to shoot the Multi-sites Indoor Championship of the Americas. These teams may shoot at any approved Host Site throughout the Americas. Each team must be registered by the Site Coordinator, before the first scoring arrow of the team event. Distance. The event is shot according to the rules for the Indoor Match Round team event, but without DIRECT opponents. The team event consists of 4 ends of 6 arrows (two per archer) shot in 2 minutes at 18meters, for a total of 24 arrows. Only one round is shot. Categories. In each of the two (2) equipment divisions (see below), there are two (2) age classes in each gender: Juniors and Senior. Therefore there are 8 team categories. The shooting timing shall be similar to the rhythm of the event, i.e. two (2) minutes per end. During this warm-up period, teams may shoot as many arrows as they wish in each two (2) minute period. Shooting Format of the Team event. At all the Host Sites, the team shooting format shall be in 6 arrows ends, shot in 2 minutes, and one shooting line. During the 2 minutes each of the 3 team members must shoot 2 arrows. During this period a maximum of one team member should be on the shooting line, while the 2 other team members should be behind a one meter line. The Chapter 8 rules for the FITA Indoor Match Team Round apply. Ties: In the
case of archers or teams being tied for medals (equal score, number of
tens and nines), medals will both be awarded as follows. All archers and
teams tied for first place will receive gold medals. If two archers or
teams are tied for first, two gold medals are awarded, and all archers
and teams tied for second place are awarded silver medals, and no
further medals are awarded. If there are three or more archers or teams
tied for first place, all are awarded gold medals and no further medals
are awarded. If there is no tie for first place, but there is a tie for
second place, then all archers and teams tied for second are awarded
silver medals, and no further medals are awarded. Finally, if there are
no ties for first or second, but there is a tie for third, all archers
and teams tied for third are awarded bronze medals.

DESCRIPCCION DEL CAMPÈONATO
Este Campeonato incluye dos eventos: *El evento individual; *El evento por equipos Importante: Cuando un arquero individual o un equipo disparan más de una ronda, en una o en varias de las sedes organizadoras, sólo el PRIMER resultado que se dispare se utilizará para el CIMA (NO el mejor). Este requisito se aplica para cada categoría. Un resultado (el primero) por cada arquero y por categoría. Fecha: El Campeonato Indoor Multi-Sede de las Américas se desarrolla cada año durante un período de tiempo determinado por COPARCO. En el año 2010, el CIMA se llevará a cabo desde el 1ro. de enero hasta el 30 de abril del 2010. REQUERIMIENTOS PARA EL EVENTO INDIVIDUAL Elegibilidad: Todos los arqueros en buen recaudo con su Federación Nacional de Tiro con Arco pueden participar en el CIMA. Estos arqueros pueden disparar en cualquiera de las Sedes organizadoras en las Américas. Distancia: El evento se desarrolla en una Ronda FITA Indoor a 18 metros, es decir, una ronda de 60 flechas. Categorías: En cada una de las dos divisiones de equipamiento (ver abajo), hay cuatro (4) categorías por edades en cada género. Cadetes, Juveniles, Mayores, Máster Por lo tanto hay un total de 16 categorías
Divisiones por tipo de Equipamiento División de Arco Recurvo, según las reglas de la FITA División de Arco Compuesto, según las reglas de la FITA Clasificaciones por edades Un atleta puede participar en la Clasificación de Cadetes si tiene menos de 17 años o si cumple 17 años en el año 2010. Un atleta puede participar en la Clasificación Juvenil si tiene menos de 20 años o si cumple 20 años en el año 2010 Un atleta puede participar en la Clasificación de Másters si tiene más de 50 años o si cumple 50 años en el año 2010. Todas las edades pueden competir en la categoría de mayores. Los cadetes, juveniles y másters pueden participar en la Clasificación de Mayores si así lo desean. La Carátula de la Diana Las divisiones de Recurvo disparan a una diana de 40 cm de díametro, o a una diana triple de 40 cm, con independencia de la clasificación por edades y del sexo, y no anotan los dieces interiores como tal. Las divisiones de Compuesto disparan a una diana triple de 40 cm, y anotan como diez el diez interior. Todas las dianas tienen que ser producidas por un fabricante con licencia de la FITA. Práctica En cada sede se dará un tiempo de 45 minutos para la práctica o calentamiento. El período de calentamiento debe empezar una hora antes del inicio del torneo, y debe concluir 15 minutos antes de la primera serie de anotación. Durante el período de calentamiento, los arqueros pueden disparar tantas flechas como deseen en las series de 2 minutos. Formato del evento En cada sede el torneo se desarrollará en series de 3 flechas, disparadas en 2 minutos, y si es posible con una sola línea de arqueros. Incripciones El club organizador se responsabiliza con decidir la fecha, la inscripción, la promoción y el programa de los eventos. la cuota de inscripción es fijada por el club organizador. La Federación Nacional de Tiro con Arco puede cobrar alguna cuota para cubrir gastos administrativos. No habrá cuota de inscripción a pagar a COPARCO. Jueces El club organizador se responsabiliza con la designación del número adecuado de jueces y el Director de Tiro (en algunas sedes pequeñas puede ser la misma persona). REQUISITOS PARA LA COMPETENCIA POR EQUIPOS El equipo se compone de tres arqueros del mismo club, del mismo sexo, clasificación por edad y división por equipamiento. Si un arquero pertenece a varios clubes, se le permitirá disparar por el club a través del cual se afilió a la Federación Nacional de Tiro con Arco Eligibilidad Los equipos / clubes compuestos por arqueros que están al día en el pago de sus cuotas de afiliación con la Federación Nacional de Tiro con Arco, pueden participar en el CIMA. Estos equipos pueden disparar en cualquiera de las sedes aprobadas para el CIMA. Cada equipo deberá ser inscrito por el coordinador de la sede antes de que se dispare la primera flecha del torneo por equipos. Dstancia El evento se dispara según las reglas para el evento de la Ronda de Matches por equipos, pero sin oponentes DIRECTOS. El evento por equipos consta de 4 series de 6 flechas (dos por arquero), disparadas en 2 minutos a 18 metros, para un total de 24 flechas. Sólo se puede disparar una sola ronda. Categorías Se competirá en cada una de las dos divisiones por equipamiento (ver más abajo), y en dos clasificaciones por edades en cada sexo: Juveniles y Mayores.
